The Russian Mosinzhproekt and Turkish doğuş holding were involved in the metro project to the new Tashkent.

The Russian engineering company Mosinzhproekt and Turkish Doğuş Holding will take part in the design and construction of the metro line to the new Tashkent. Near the Olympic town, where construction work is underway, the third station of the new branch will be located.

The metro line in the new Tashkent will have a length of 21 km and include 9 stations. It will begin from the Dustik station (former Chkalov) and will reach the new administrative center of the capital. According to estimates, the line will be able to serve up to 230 thousand passengers per day.

Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Davronzhon Adilov in an interview with Uzbekistan 24 said that at the intersection of New Uzbekistan Streets, the Olympic town and the New Uzbekistan park are active construction work. The third station of the new branch will be located in this place.

The project is implemented together with the Turkish company Doğuş Holding using both underground and aboveground technologies, he said.

According to the presentation, the Turkish ArcCon Project and the Russian engineering company Mosinzhproekt were also involved. Mosinzhproekt is a holding that belongs to the Moscow government by 100%. Since 2011, he has been performing the functions of a technical customer, general designer and general contractor in the construction of new stations of the Moscow Metro. More than 170 km of lines and 79 new metro stations were introduced with the participation of the company, 12 electric depots were built and reconstructed.

Doğuş Holding (Doğuş Group)-one of the largest private groups in Turkey, was founded in 1951 by Aikhan Shakhenk, headquarters-in Istanbul. Today, the holding has more than 250 companies. The number of staff is about 26 thousand people. Field of activity: car dealerships (Audi, Porsche, VW, etc.), construction, media (including NTV, Star TV), hotel business, energy, real estate, technology. She participated in the construction of metro lines in Turkey, as well as Sofia (Bulgaria) and Mumbai (India).

The cost of one kilometer of the underground section (monolithic method of building tunnels) is estimated at about $ 8 million.

It is expected that the duration of the entire trip on the new metro line will be 24 minutes with a minimum interval of 6 minutes.

Earlier, the Gazeta reported the beginning of the construction of metro stations along Yangi Uzbekiston Street (New Uzbekistan), connecting the capital with the new Tashkent.

In 2022, the possible construction of the French company ALSTOM of the tram line in the same direction was reported. The status of the project is unknown.

The presentation also considered plans to extend the subway to the main bus station on the TTZ massif. It has already been reported that the project will be implemented in two stages.

At the first stage, the Chilanzar direction will be extended from the Pushkin station to the Tashkent ring road on the ground. At the second stage, it is planned to build an underground line from fervation to the TTZ array.

The railway line will pass under the ring road to unload traffic flows. The construction of the underground section will be organized without stopping street traffic, the president’s press service said.

According to calculations, the new branch will be able to transport up to 85 thousand passengers per day.
