The Cabinet of Ministers extended the payment of subsidies for the construction and equipment of hotels

Investors will be able to apply for payment for a hotel at least 50 rooms by the end of this year.

The Cabinet of Ministers extended the payment of subsidies for investors for the construction of hotels and their equipment. This was announced by the Tourism Committee.

The government decree includes amendments to the temporary position introduced last September. It affects the placement objects by at least 50 rooms built or open until March 31, 2024.

The investor will be able to submit an application for the payment of subsidies with the application of the necessary documents no later than December 31, 2025. Prior to this, the deadline was set on March 1.

The amount of subsidies depends on the number of numbers and the star category of the hotel:

40 million soums per room in hotels with a category of 3* by 50 or more numbers;

65 million soums per room in hotels with a category of 4* or 5* per 100 or more rooms.

Applications are accepted through a single portal of interactive public services. The Tourism Committee will consider them within 10 to 20 working days, after which he will decide on the payment of a subsidy or refusal to it.

In the case of a positive decision, the department will send an order to the Ministry of Economics and Finance. The funds will be transferred to the treasury account of the Tourism Committee within 3 business days, and after another 5 working days will be taken to the investor’s bank account.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev in July 2023 decided to extend the action of subsidies for the construction of hotels that were introduced in 2019. The President instructed to maintain payments before the end of 2026, while increasing the minimum number of numbers to 60 for 3-star and up to 120 for 4-star hotels.
