Metro in New Tashkent for $ 110 million is planned to be built before the end of 2026

A 8 km long line with three stations will be a continuation of the branch from the Dustlik station. The project is implemented by the Turkish company.

The metro line in New Tashkent is planned to be built before the end of 2026, the Directorate for the construction of the New Tashkent said.

The length of the metro line consisting of three stations will be 8 km. It will become part of the branch coming from the Dustik station to the new Tashkent. In the early stages of the project, the construction of 4 stations was provided.

The project cost is estimated at $ 110 million, of which $ 11 million will be mastered in 2025, and the remaining $ 99 million in 2026.

The investor is the Turkish company XVAV Yapi Sanayi Ve Tic. A.S. Based on its name, it specializes in construction, industry and trade.

Metro in New Tashkent

In May, the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov, in an interview with O’zbekiston 24, spoke about the head of state to build a new metro branch that will connect the capital and the New Tashkent under construction.

“At the moment, work is being carried out on the construction of the New Tashkent. When the question arose of transport infrastructure connecting the old and new city, the president proposed to build a new metro line from the Dustik station to the New Tashkent. Today we were instructed to start work on this project, ”said the head of the Ministry of Transport.

In June, it became known that the length of the metro line from the Dustik station to the new Tashkent will be 21 km. The route will include nine stations. According to forecasts, the new metro line will be able to serve up to 230 thousand passengers per day.

Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Davronzhon Adilov, in an interview with O’zbekiston 24, said that on the New Uzbekistan Street-at the intersection of the New Uzbekistan Park and the Olympic town-active construction work along the metro line in New Tashkent. In May, Gazeta issued a report on the construction of an underground subway section near the New Uzbekistan park, where the third subway station will be located.

According to him, in the project, which is carried out together with the Turkish company Dogus Holding, the technologies of aboveground and underground construction of the metro are used.

The Turkish ArcCon Project and the Russian engineering company Mosinzhproekt were also involved in the implementation of the project. According to published pictures, the cost of 1 km of the underground site will be $ 8 million.
