In New Tashkent, investment agreements have been signed by $ 554 million by 13 lots. On August 20, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, got acquainted with the presentation of projects implemented in New Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
The construction of a new city began in 2023. As noted, the first buildings have already been erected, and 19.7 thousand hectares of land were allocated to the Yukorchirchik and Urtachirchik districts to implement plans in the Yukorchirchik and Urtachirchik districts. The concept of the project was developed by the British company Cross Works.
At the first stage of the work, 6,000 hectares are carried out in an area of 6,000 hectares, where 600 thousand people will be created. In the future, the city is designed for 2 million inhabitants. Now underground engineering communications are being built - collectors for heating and water networks, power supply and telecommunications, as well as tunnels and underground parking.
Environmentally friendly transport will be introduced in the city, the interaction of metro and electric buses will be established, safe conditions for pedestrians and cyclists have been created, the report said.
In the administrative zone, it is planned to build more than 60 buildings for state bodies. Already over 10 ministries and departments began work in temporary facilities in the territory of the new Tashkent.
According to the results of auctions, investment agreements were concluded in the amount of $ 554 million in 13 commercial lots. Hotels, restaurants and buildings "with original architecture, which not only provide high -quality service, but also turn the city into a new center of tourism."
According to the presidential press service, construction will create 160 thousand jobs, and in the future-hundreds of thousands of permanent jobs on the basis of innovative technologies. For this, the development of educational and medical clusters, IT services and technology parks is provided.
Deputy Director of the New Tashkent Directorate, Maksud Abboskhonov, in an interview with Uzbekistan 24, said that together with the Turkish company, the construction of the drinking water and sewage supply system for the first stage of the new Tashkent is underway.
According to him, only at the first stage it is necessary to carry out construction work with a length of 8 km to supply drinking water.
“We rely on world experience and apply the technology unique to Uzbekistan - laying pipes under the bottom of the river. Together with our engineers, consulting with foreign specialists, we began to lay pipes under the Chirchik river, ”he said.
In addition, together with H2O, it is planned to build sewage treatment plants. At the first stage, a complex with a capacity of 35 thousand cubic meters will be erected.
Saidazim Sharipov, adviser to the director of the New Tashkent directorate, noted that underground engineering networks that are the basis of the city are currently being actively underway.
“Among the features are underground intersections, which usually is not in other cities. Under ordinary ground intersections, underground intersections, parking and other service facilities will be located, as well as access to the underground parking lots of adjacent buildings. In parallel, the construction of all engineering networks, including the metro, is underway, ”he said.
