AI to the rescue. Uzbekistan will spend billions to reduce the cost of building materials
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan has proposed reducing the cost of building materials produced in the country by introducing artificial intelligence technologies into production. It is assumed that through the use of AI and automated control systems it is possible to reduce production costs by 5-10%, Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.
Measures to digitalize the production of building materials were presented on November 20 at a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that to stimulate technological modernization, 100 billion soums will be allocated over two years to enterprises implementing digital solutions.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to improving the energy efficiency of the industry - an energy audit of 34 production facilities has already shown a reduction in fuel consumption.
Targets have also been set to increase the share of energy-saving building materials to 25% next year and to 35% by 2030. The scientific component of the industry in this direction is being strengthened: four research projects are being implemented with the participation of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and foreign scientists from Germany, South Korea and Turkey.
From 2026, 30 billion soums will be allocated to finance scientific developments in the field of building materials, which will intensify cooperation between scientific institutions and manufacturing enterprises.
Earlier it was reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to double the amount of housing built annually and increase the portfolio of mortgage loans by more than ten times. The relevant orders are contained in the decree signed by the head of state. The document sets targets for the development of the housing sector until 2040.
