A new technology park worth 1.1 billion dollars will be built in the Samarkand region.

A new $1.1 billion technopark will be established in the Samarkand region.

It will be located on 115 hectares in the Nurabad district. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Uzbekistan on August 4.

The project is planned until 2030 and is expected to create over 5,000 jobs.

The technopark will be situated in the Sazagon area. The land plot was previously part of the "Urgut" Free Economic Zone but is now being transferred to a new investor.

A foreign company will manage the project. The site will feature 3–4-story production buildings and house high-tech enterprises.

The technopark is part of a broader strategy to develop industry and improve the region’s investment climate.
