25 - 28 February 2025, Uzexpocentre NEC

The Ministry of Construction has created a project office to oversee the construction

The new office will review projects worth over 10 billion soums and monitor the use of budget funds.

A project office without the status of a legal entity has been established in the central office of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. This became known from the decree of the president.

He has the authority to review design estimates for the construction and reconstruction of facilities worth more than 10 billion soums. This documentation is being created within the framework of programs for the development of social and industrial infrastructure in Uzbekistan, as well as programs funded from budgetary funds.

From July 1, 2024, the estimated cost of construction projects will be calculated using the electronic platform "National Classifier of Construction Resources".

And from October 1, 2024, completed facilities will be registered through the electronic platform "State Control in Construction", which is part of the national information system "Transparent Construction". This step will help to digitalize the process of commissioning facilities.

Entrepreneurs can be involved for technical control in construction, reconstruction and major repairs financed from the State budget, on outsourcing terms for the following facilities:

From January 1, 2025, outsourcing is allowed at schools, kindergartens and medical institutions, if construction or repair work starts from scratch, as an experiment.
Since January 1, 2026, outsourcing has been extended to other construction and repair facilities, except those related to state secrets.

When developing a program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure in Uzbekistan for 2025, half of the funds allocated for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of kindergartens will be directed to projects based on public opinion.

The resolution also approved:

A list of additional data that will be transmitted to the information systems of the Ministry of Construction through the integrated information systems of ministries and departments.

The roadmap for improving the efficiency of implementation, management and control of construction projects.

The document entered into force on April 30, 2024.
