The State Committee for Tourism Development has offered the Swedish company Danfo to enter the Uzbekistan market with their automatic public toilets.

The meeting with the Danfo representatives was held at the State Committee for Tourism Development, to discuss the cooperation matters regarding establishment of the modern public toilet network across Uzbekistan.

The Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development offered the company to enter the Uzbekistan market as a public toilet operator. For the successful operation in Uzbekistan, the company was proposed to develop various standard designs of public toilets, with due consideration of the country’s climate conditions, including those able to operate in the absence of a sewerage system or connection to a power or water supply. According to the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, the toilets are also supposed to be made anti-vandal and environmentally friendly to the utmost, that is, no more than two liters of water should be used for water flushing, rather than the standard six or eight liters.

For the further quality operation of the public toilets, there was proposed to equip them with sensors and GSM communication, which would inform the toilet operator of the filling state of the disposal tanks and the low level of water, so that sewage cleaning machines can timely drain the disposal tanks, and water-carriers fill the water tanks. Moreover, an important aspect is the creation of conditions for using the toilets by handicapped people.

The Swedish company was proposed to look into the possibility of maximum employment of the Uzbekistan-manufactured components and materials when constructing the public toilets, such as sandwich panels, plastic pipes and parts, and fastenings. This will allow for the significant cost reduction and establishing reasonable prices for the final products in the local market.

Danfo will present sample automatic toilets, with due regard to the technical standards set by the State Committee for Tourism Development, as well as to the local content in manufacturing various types of public toilets across the country.
