Local building materials will receive priority when issuing loans to developers in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, it is planned to introduce a new lending system for developers: when allocating bank loans, priority will be given to the use of local building materials. On the Platform "Shaffof қryilish" will appear a rating of product quality.

The growth in the population and active urbanization in Uzbekistan enhance the demand for building materials. This was stated at the meeting with the president on May 26.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of contracting in the country has increased by 10.3%, however, a large number of unclaimed products have accumulated in the warehouses - ceramic tiles, drywall, glass, basalt cotton wool. At the same time, similar products continue to be imported: the annual volume of imports of these materials is about $ 225 million.

In this regard, when the developers of loans to the working capital are allocated, a system will be introduced in which priority is given to the use of domestic building materials.

The issues of the quality of building materials were also discussed. According to the inspection, over the past year alone, 1,600 cases of use of low -quality products were identified. In response to this, a register of manufacturers of building materials and their products will be created on the “Transparent Construction” platform. For goods, the quality rating will be introduced, which will be updated every quarter.

The meeting also noted that, despite the emergence of new types of energy -efficient materials, most of them have no standards or do not meet international requirements. By the end of the year, 68 international standards were instructed.

In July last year, the Central Bank presented a review of the dynamics of the building materials market. According to the Central Bank, the internal proposal of building materials is growing, which has a stabilizing effect on prices and has a lowering effect on the cost of new housing.
