A meeting in Tashkent discussed further plans on implementation of an investment project “Construction of oil refining complex in Jizzakh region” was held with officials of Honeywell/UOP and AFW on 20-21 June 2018.

The project is one of the priority projects in bilateral economic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The American company Honeywell/UOP acts as the main licensor of technology within the project.

At the end of the meeting, the partners took decisions on the scope of work; the order of development and provision of initial data necessary for the design of technological facilities; the timing of the preparation of design documentation for process units and the oil refinery complex in general and many other issues, aimed at the speedy implementation of the project.

According to experts, the launch of Jizzakh refinery will be an important step in the further development of the country’s core industry.
