Construction of the “Sangardak” tourist center has begun in Surkhandarya region.

The project with a total value of 913.3 billion soums covers an area of ​​615 hectares and is implemented at an accelerated pace.

In the Sarysi district of the Surkhandarya region, the construction of a large-scale tourist center "Sangardak" was launched, the press service of the regional Khokimiyat reports. The project with a total value of 913.3 billion soums covers an area of ​​615 hectares and is implemented at an accelerated pace.

To date, work has been completed on the concrete installation of supports and the arrangement of the launch point of the cableway 1.6 km long. Also in the complex are zones for ZIP-line, picnics, sanatorium, cultural and entertainment cluster, as well as:

more than 20 restaurants, cafes and bars;

296 outlets;

6 hotels (including 2 five -star);

10 guest houses.

The progress of construction work was visited by Hokim of the Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kasimov. He got acquainted with the implementation of the Sangardak project and the plans for the transformation of Mahalli “Nile” to the tourist village. During the visit, it was noted that projects are implemented according to international standards with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

The project is carried out with the participation of the Turon Bank, representatives of the tourism industry and entrepreneurs.

The Sanghardak Center is one of the three major tourist projects in the Surkhandarya region, along with the “Loads” and “Omonhon”. In December 2024, the President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on the development of tourism infrastructure in the mountainous regions of the region. Only three zones will take 945 hectares.

To manage these objects, a special directorate is established, which will be responsible for the sale of land through online auction and coordination of projects. The plots will be implemented by installments up to 10 years. As part of the development, the construction of hotels, guest houses, recreation areas and service facilities is supposed.

Projects are planned to be completed until 2027.
