Construction of a "tourist mega-project" has begun in Namangan region
Complex with Water Park, Amphitheater, and Restaurants Planned on the Banks of the Naryn River
Namangan Regional Governor Shavkat Abdurazzakov launched the implementation of a "tourism mega-project," according to the regional administration's press service.
The project is planned along the banks of the Naryn River in the Uchkurgan district. The presentation highlighted opportunities for developing "all areas of tourism" on a 12 km stretch of the riverbank and around major diversion canals.
The 30-hectare site will feature a water park, flower garden, amphitheater, capsule hotel rooms, interactive attractions, restaurants, and a promenade area. The project is expected to create over 450 jobs.
Abdurazzakov was also presented with plans for developing the area around the Naryn cascade of hydroelectric power stations. In the "Buston" neighborhood of the Uychi district, a tourism project is proposed, including a recreation area, swimming pool, sports ground, and camping zone.
Additionally, 20 hectares in the Uychi district are planned for the construction of a multi-story residential complex, which will also include a tourist promenade area.
