UzBuild 2024 - building your route to success

Industry experts eagerly anticipate the annual international exhibition "Construction - UzBuild 2024", which will take place from February 27 to March 1, 2024, in all pavilions and in the outdoors areas of the Uzexpocentre NEC. The exhibition this year is of particular significance since it marks the culmination of 25 years of productive collaboration and success.

The construction sector in New Uzbekistan is transitioning to a new phase of development, much like the rest of the country. Large-scale construction in all parts of our country is causing a radical transformation and improvement in the appearance of our cities and villages. Modernity and safety are the main criteria in construction. Additionally, the construction sector stimulates the economies of related industries given that it requires large quantities of a wide range of goods, from furniture and home appliances to plumbing and communications.

The UzBuild exhibition quickly established itself as the industry's premier event in Uzbekistan, providing the most useful commercial venue for the construction community while also serving as a hub for experts and manufacturers to showcase new products and innovations. One of the best ways to get into a market that is promising and rapidly developing is to participate in UzBuild's work in order to visually demonstrate your products and make direct business contacts.

The exhibition "Uzbekistan on the threshold of the 21st century" in 2000 marked the beginning of UzBuild's history and inspired the organisation to hold the event annually. The exhibition was granted the title of "Event Approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI)" in 2007. This certificate is given to events that are acknowledged by the global exhibition business community and have aided in the growth of the host nation's economy.

A total of 3,503 companies from 45 countries participated in the exhibition over its whole duration, and 160,239 visitors attended.

The concept of the UzBuild exhibition represents a full cycle of the technological process in construction, from initial design to final finishing. Along with encouraging an active exchange of views among industry participants, this gives manufacturers and experts the chance to effectively showcase and gain insight into the most recent advancements in equipment, technology, and materials.
In response to current demands, the exhibition places particular emphasis on innovations in the construction and building material production, such as "smart houses," "green technologies," and energy-efficient technologies and materials.

The magnitude and quantity of attendees in 2024 validate once more that UzBuild is the premier construction industry exhibition event, not just in the Republic but across Central Asia. The current exhibition has once again surpassed the previous year's figures; its exposition occupied an area of 15,000 square metres; this is all the exhibition pavilions of Uzexpocentre, as well as an outdoor venue. In terms of the quantity of participants, the record was broken once more: over 450 brands and companies from 19 countries— Austria, Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, China, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uzbekistan —took part.

The General Sponsor of the exhibition is once again the companies KOC Construction and Piramit Global, which are implementing projects in Uzbekistan, Turkiye, the CIS countries and Africa.

The share of foreign participants was 81%.

China, Russia, Turkiye, Germany, and Kazakhstan were the top 5 foreign countries in terms of the number of participants. In addition to delegations from 16 regions of the Russian Federation presenting a collective stand, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkiye will showcase their expositions as part of the National Pavilions.

The traditional participation of Turkiye in the National Pavilion format will present new products from 62 leading manufacturers in the fields of construction, construction equipment and technologies, as well as construction and finishing materials, and construction chemicals.

At the German national stand, 27 top manufacturing companies will showcase the newest innovations and technologies in the construction industry, including high-performance equipment for producing concrete products, sand-lime bricks and autoclaved aerated concrete products, technologies for producing prefabricated reinforced concrete products, an extensive selection of equipment for road construction, and equipment for subterranean work. Apart from that, innovative building and finishing materials will be on display, such as frost-resistant exterior tiles, clinker brick tiles for energy-efficient homes, and roofing materials.

UAE-based businesses have been taking part in the UzBuild show since 2014, under the guidance of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation. This year, the exhibition will feature five companies showcasing a wide range of products and services, including composite panels, lighting systems, and metal systems for prefabricated buildings.

This year, a record number of Chinese companies will participate in the UzBuild exhibition, with 100 companies demonstrating their country's enormous potential in this area in all pavilions and at the outdoor venue.

The traditional trading partner of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Belarus, will present 5 key manufacturing companies of products that are in great demand in the local market: elevators, panel materials and wood, samples of wooden housing construction, natural flooring, cable and wire products.

110 companies from the Russian Federation are represented at the exhibition, including 16 collective stands from the Republic of Tatarstan, Vladimir, Volgograd, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kurgan, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, and Tyumen Territories. The entire range of construction equipment and technologies for the domestic construction industry is on display.

60% of the exhibitors are first-time participants. Companies from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan are among them; they show a vast interest in Uzbekistan's construction industry.

The exhibition is especially proud of its regular participants. Companies such as BAUER Maschinen GmbH, TEKA Maschinenbau GmbH, Elkon, RTG Rammtechnik, and Progress Group have been supporting the exhibition since its earliest days. Furthermore, this anniversary year's exhibition features the participation of the 27 regular participating companies.

The UzBuild exhibition has become an important catalyst for many significant changes in the construction industry. Its early years were characterised by a lack of modern plants and technology, as well as a lack of a sustainable base in the construction sector. The majority of the exhibitors at the initial shows were international businesses that brought innovative technologies and advanced solutions. The current situation has changed significantly as new plants and factories have been created, i.e., 10,4 thousand factories producing construction materials have emerged in the nation. Currently, 80 domestic companies are taking part in the exhibition, continuing to contribute to the development and improvement of the industry. The slogan of the exhibition, “Building your path to success,” ideally reflects the key values and significance of the exhibition for Uzbekistan.

This year, Uzbekistan is represented by both returning exhibitors and first-time exhibitors, whose stands offer a wide range of products from the building and finishing materials, windows, doors, facades, cement and concrete products, building mixes, metallurgical products, insulating materials, cable and wire products, stone products, and a number of other sectors.

There will be master classes and new product presentations at nearly every stand. The T.B.M. company’s master class promises an unforgettable and unique experience for the exhibition visitors with the “Force technique”: “Windows (from VEKA profile): windows with increased security," where the company will demonstrate the advantages of its products compared to “ordinary windows” in terms of burglary resistance or resistance to external destructive influences.

In addition, the Ampir Decor company will present a breathtaking masterclass in the application of finishing materials—painting on large canvases in one of the exhibition's photo zones.

It is impossible to envision UzBuild without its dedicated section, " Building equipment and technologies - BuildTech 2024," where renowned businesses - KCP (the Republic of Korea), SANY Construction Machinery (Uzbekistan), and LIUGONG (China) will showcase construction equipment and spare parts, building material production equipment, road construction technologies, concrete mixing equipment, and much more in the outdoor area. Among the exhibitors in this sector are also well-known companies Liebherr, Masa GmbH, BAUER Maschinen GmbH, OMAG Maschinenbau, BAUER Maschinen GmbH, BHS-Sonthofen GmbH (Germany), Akkaya Makina, Boom Makina, Ceylan Makina, Ermak Makina, IBAR Makina, Gayret Makina (Turkiye), Bianchi Casseforme (Italy) and many others.

As part of the business programme of the exhibition, on February 27–29, 2024, the 5th anniversary International Conference of the Construction Industry – ICCI 2024 will be held in Atrium 1, which will bring together representatives of leading construction companies, specialists, and international experts on one business platform. The plenary and panel sessions will cover such current aspects of the construction industry as the construction of “New Tashkent," the development and trends of the real estate market, the digitalisation and transformation of construction, the building materials industry, as well as the session held by the Zaha Hadid Architects.

More than 20 speakers from the UK, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, and the United Arab Emirates will take part in the discussions.

The world is changing, and today's progressive application of IT technologies permeates every aspect of daily life. Once more, UzBuild—the International Exhibition of the Uzbek Construction Industry—took the lead. The international exhibition company Iteca Exhibitions, the exhibition's organiser, announced the release of Iteca Connect, - a unique mobile application for the nation's exhibition market, on the eve of the event. The application is compatible with both iOS and Android systems.

Users can now fully enjoy the advantages of using the mobile application, which offers helpful information for both exhibition attendees and participants. This includes industry news, the description of participating companies, their exact stand location at the exhibition, the opening hours of the exhibition, as well as the opportunity to get a personal ticket to the exhibition and the opportunity to communicate regularly with professionals in the industry.

The 25th Anniversary International Exhibition "Construction—UzBuild 2024" will traditionally open the construction season and present the latest innovations and effective solutions for all interested parties. The confirmed attendance of official delegations of experts and specialists from the construction, real estate, and investment fields has indicated that there is already a significant amount of interest surrounding the event. Over 15,000 professional visitors from all over Central Asia and other countries are expected to attend the exhibition.
