Multi-storey industrial buildings will be built in mahallas in Uzbekistan

By the end of the year, multi-storey industrial buildings will be built in a thousand mahallas. Production organized in households will be transferred to these buildings. Entrepreneurs working on the upper floors will receive tax breaks.

The President gave relevant instructions at today's video conference. He noted that over six months of experiments in Saykhunabad, Uychi, Zarbdor and Gijduvan, more than four thousand mahallas began to specialize in industry and agriculture. Thanks to this, more than 1.5 million people received formal work.

Mirziyoyev instructed to speed up these processes. Now district khokims, bank managers and mahalla chairmen will enter into agreements on joint work.

Before December 1, using the experience of Saykhunabad, households will be offered financial assistance. The Family Entrepreneurship program will increase 1.5 times and receive four trillion soums.

Following Uychi’s experience, khokims and banks will help entrepreneurs expand their businesses. The former will solve infrastructure issues, and the latter – financing.

Based on the experience of the Zarbdor region, projects in industry, trade, services and agricultural technologies will be implemented. For this purpose, 500 billion soums will be allocated, which will create another 150 thousand jobs.

The Prime Minister has been tasked with approving a plan to provide employment to nearly 2.5 million people across districts by the end of the year using these four approaches.
